Living in Ambleside

For those with children, Ambleside is well-equipped for their educations, with a primary school placing a focus on outdoor learning in the beautiful surroundings, as well as a choice between the Lake School and the private Windermere School for secondaries.

The town itself has a thriving economy built around tourism, which also ensures plenty to do for local residents. And, of course, it’s surrounded by beautiful countryside which offers wonderful walking, hiking, and climbing trips.

Ambleside may be a tourist town, but it’s a wonderful place to live in all weathers.
