DIRECTIONS From the M6 heading into the Lake District, follow the A591 to the first junction at Brettargh Holt roundabout, come off the A591 and head West on the A590 heading towards Grange/Lindale on the dual carriageway. At Meathrop Roundabout continue on the A590 heading up Lindale Hill and on the hill veer left signposted Lindale (B5271). Continue down the hill and opposite the car park for The Royal Oak veer right at the next junction onto Windermere Road. Continue for ½ mile and the stone pillar entrance can be found on the right hand side. Head up the driveway until you reach the electric gates where Hampsfield House can be found, continue past the main house in between The Coach House to a driveway which leads down to the private gated entrance to The Walled Garden.
